Shipping

Orders shipped within Canada are sent via Canada Post regular mail, or expedited mail for large orders. Express shipping can be arranged at higher costs. International orders will be shipped via Canada Post Airmail unless requested otherwise.

The following shipping charges apply to orders shipped within Canada. Shipping charges for international orders will be individually determined and checked with customers before sending.

We ship seeds to Canada and to those countries that do not require a phytosanitary certificate for importing. Please determine if your country requires these certificates.

There are many ways you can order from us. All are secure and safe.

• By Internet/Web
  Our new Online Shopping Cart allows you the convenience and ease of ordering online in a secure environment. You can pay by these credit cards: VISA, MasterCard or American Express. We are also one of the first online retailers to offer “Interac Online” – in which you pay with your debit card! This payment method is extremely secure as you complete your payment through your own bank’s website, meaning that nobody sees your financial information.
  
  
• By Fax:
  Print the downloadable order form from our website, complete it and fax it to us at (905) 786-2204, providing credit card information (we accept VISA, Mastercard and American Express).
  
  
• By Mail:
  Use the order form in our catalogue or Download it here. Complete and mail to: The Cottage Gardener, 4199 Gilmore Rd. RR 1 Newtonville, Ontario, Canada L0A 1J0. Fill in the credit card information or include a cheque (made out to: The Cottage Gardener).
  
  
• By Phone:
  Okay, we don’t actually have "operators standing by". But we do take 'phone orders. Call us at (905) 786-2388, anytime. If we’re here, we’ll take your call and your order; if we’re not, leave a message and we’ll call you back at a convenient time to take your order.
  
  

Please note: due to a significant increase in orders this year, our processing time for orders is currently 2 - 3 weeks

Condition of Seed

We go to significant lengths to ensure that our seed is of the highest quality and we guarantee all our seed. Should by any chance, however, you experience a problem, please send the seed package back to us with an explanatory note, and we will gladly replace the seed if possible, or substitute another variety. As is customary in the seed trade, our warranty is limited to the price of the seed package, and not to any resulting crop. We do not knowingly sell any genetically-modified seed (GMO).
